[ About the software ]

  The "1GbE (2ch) Riser Card"(N8403-094F) on Express5800/B120g-h MFW update module
  (hereafter called, "Software") supports the following functional enhancement.

  - The following issue has been corrected: POST error or LAN controller device unrecognizable
    failures occur after the restart in either of the following OS environments. 
    - OS is VMware ESXi 5.5, the version of LAN driver "bnx2x" is 2.713.30.v55.5 or later. 
    - OS is VMware ESXi 6.0 or 6.5, the version of LAN driver "bnx2x" is 2.713.30.v60.5 or later.

  Note:
  - To prevent a system failure, please read this document carefully and follow the procedure for
    successful update.  Should your system malfunctions or is powered off due to an unplanned event
    during update (for example, power blackout or cutoff, lightening, and noise), the system may be
    damaged and fails to operate normally.  In this case, any remedial measures shall be taken at your
    expense.


[ Models and versions for update ]

  Users who use the following model and version need to apply this Software for update.

    - Model to update: 
        "1GbE (2ch) Riser Card"(N8403-094F) for Express5800/B120g-h

    - Version to update:
        MFW version 7.13.10

  Check whether or not your riser card needs to be updated by any of the following methods (1) to (3).

  (1) How to check with the server, ROM Utility

      Turn on the server. After the message "<F4> ROM Utility" appears, Press F4. 
      When ROM Utility is started, "keyboard type selection" menu is displayed. 
      Then with a cursor and Enter key, select keyboard type. 
      "Off-line TOOL MENU" is displayed and with the cursor and Enter key, 
      Go to "Maintenance Utility" -> "IPMI Information Viewer"
      -> "Display Most Recent IPMI Data" -> "Field Replaceable Unit(FRU) List"
      -> "LAN Riser Card". 
      Display "[Product Information]" with the cursor.
      When "Product Part / Model Number" and "Product Version" are as follows,
      the riser card needs to be updated (MFW version is 7.13.10 at purchase. *). 

        Product Part / Model Number : [N8403-094]
        Product Version             : 00

      By pressing ESC key, return to "Off-line TOOL MENU". 
      Select "Exit" and press Enter key, then the server is re-started. 

  (2) How to check with Web console of BMC(EXPRESSSCOPE Engine 3)

      Log in to Web console of BMC, go to the menu "System" -> "IPMI Information",
      and press "FRU" button.
      "FRU" list is displayed and select "LAN Riser Card".
      When [Part/Model Number] and [Product Version] of [Product Information] are indicated as below,
      the riser card has to be updated. (MFW version is 7.13.10 at purchase. *)

  (3) How to check with Web console of EM card

      After logging in to Web console of EM card, select "Status" menu.
      "Blade" list will be displayed and press "Detail" of the one to be checked. 
      When "Product Information" of "Onboard LAN1", "Part/Model Number" and "Product Version"
      are indicated as below, the riser card has to be updated (MFW version is 7.13.10 at purchase. *)      

        Part/Model Number  [N8403-094]
        Product Version    00

  * Even after updating, the indication will not change. 
    If you want to check the current MFW version after this update is applied,
    execute the sections (1) to (2) and (6) to (10) of "4.2 How to update"
    of "READMEE.TXT" attached to this Software.

Before using this Software please read the following User License Agreement ("Agreement") carefully.
If you do not agree to the terms and conditions of this Agreement, you shall not download the Software.
Downloading the Software indicates your acceptance of the terms and conditions of the Agreement.

[ User License Agreement ]

   NEC Corporation ("NEC") grants you the right to use the software program ("Software") under the terms
   and conditions of this Agreement only in the country in which you acquired the Software. You shall
   agree to all provisions of this Agreement and assume responsibility for selection, installation, use 
   and effect of the Software purchased for your desired effect.
   
   The Software uses the software ("GPL Module") granted by GNU General Public License("GPL").
   This Agreement does not cover GPL Module.

   You can distribute or change the module based on the conditions of GPL or any later Version,
   stipulated by Free Software Foundation. The module is supposed to be useful, however, NEC does not 
   guarantee it.
   In addition, NEC does not release any copyright of GPL Module, designed by NEC.

   1. Terms 
   1.1 This Agreement shall come into force on the date of your receipt of the Software.
   1.2 You may terminate the license granted hereunder by notifying us in writing at least one month
       prior to the desired termination date.
   1.3 NEC may terminate the license granted you hereunder at any time if you fail to comply with any
       terms and conditions of this Agreement. 
   1.4 The license to the Software shall remain in force until the license is terminated on the date
       set forth hereunder. 
   1.5 Upon termination of the license, other rights granted you hereunder shall also be terminated.
       You must destroy or dispose of the Software, any copies of the Software and manual and other
       materials provided with the Software. 
   
   2. Copyright 
   2.1 The Software shall solely be used in the Express5800 servers.
   2.2 NEC grants you the right to use the Software only in the country in which you acquired the 
       Software in accordance with the conditions of the preceding paragraph.
   
   3. Copying, altering, and combining of the Software
   3.1 You may only make one copy of the Software solely for a backup purpose,
       provided, however, that the copy of the Software is loaded into permanent memory of the system.
       You may store the Software solely to prevent damages or loss of the memory media.
   3.2 You shall place the copyright notice and other legends on each copy of the Software.
   3.3 You may not use, copy, alter, combine, publish, reproduce the Software over the Internet, or
       otherwise dispose of the Software except as provided in this Agreement. 
   3.4 You may not copy, publish the manual or other related documentation provided with the Software,
       or reproduce such manual and documentation over the Internet.
   3.5 No intangible property right to the Software shall be transferred to you.
   
   4. Transfer
   4.1 You may assign your rights granted hereunder to a third party only if all conditions below are
       satisfied: 
       a. You shall assign and shall not retain this Agreement, the Software, all copies of the
       Software, or the manual or other related documentation provided with the Software. 
       b. The transferee agrees to this Agreement.
   4.2 You shall not sublicense, assign, transfer, or otherwise dispose of the Software or the right of
       use to any third party except as provided herein.
   
   5. Reverse compile
      You may not reverse engineer, decompile, or otherwise disassemble the Software.
   
   6. Limitation of warranties
   6.1 The Software is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. In no event shall NEC be liable
       with respect to any claim by you on account of or arising out of the use of the Software.
   6.2 Notwithstanding the provisions of the preceding paragraph, in case NEC makes any bug-fix version
       to the Software, NEC will, at its expense, furnish you with such bug-fix version, update version,
       or information in relation to such bug-fix or update version both in the source code form and
       object code form, and such bug-fix version or update version shall be considered as the licensed
       Software.
   
   7. No liability 
       In no event shall NEC be liable for any indirect or consequential damages or loss of profit or 
       damages based on any third party claim, even if NEC has been advised of the possibility of such
       damages. 

   8. Other restrictions
       The user must agree that any disputes concerning this user license agreement will be settled
       at the Tokyo district court as the exclusively appointed court.


[ Update procedure ]

(1) Download the update module to a desired directory.
(2) Extract the download module to the specified folder.
(3) The folder has "READMEE.TXT" which is the update procedure (readme file).
