[ About the Software ]
The system BIOS update module for Express5800/T110j and Express5800/T110j-S
(hereinafter called "the Software") supports the following functional
enhancements of Express5800/T110j and Express5800/T110j-S:

  - Updated the SPS firmware version. This version mitigates the security
vulnerability of INTEL-SA-00241 released by Intel Corporation.

  - Updated the hardware initialization code. This version mitigates the
security vulnerabilities of INTEL-SA-00164 and INTEL-SA-00240 released by
Intel Corporation. This update also enhances the memory initialization
    process.

  - Updated the microcode for the following processors. This version mitigates
the security vulnerabilities of INTEL-SA-00164, INTEL-SA-00220,
INTEL-SA-00289 and INTEL-SA-00317 released by Intel Corporation.
    Intel(R) Xeon(R) E Processor
    Intel(R) Pentium(R) Gold Processor Series
    Intel(R) Celeron(R) Processor G Series
    8th Generation Intel(R) Core(TM) i3 Processors

  - Extended the wait time for a user's input with the F3 hotkey during the
    POST.

  - Improved the mechanism for remonitoring memory correctable errors.

  ** Cautions in General **

  * An incorrect update could result in a failure, such as the system fails to
boot. For a successful update, read this document carefully and follow the
    instructions.
Should your system malfunction or be powered off due to an unplanned event
(such as a blackout, a cutoff, lightning and noise) during the update, the
system may be damaged and fail to operate normally. In such a case, the
system may need to be repaired at your expense.

  * When the Windows(R) BitLocker(TM) feature is enabled, disable it before the
update. After the update is completed, enable the feature again. Without
disabling the function before the update, booting the system may require the
    recovery password.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

** To Update the BIOS Offline **

  Prepare a writable CD/DVD medium.

  1) Creation of Installation Medium
Download and unzip the zipped file to extract the file of
     BIOS_F15_updatetool.iso.
Burn the iso file onto the CD/DVD medium with a burning
     software.
This CD/DVD medium is the "System BIOS update module" medium.
For details on the burning procedure, refer to the manual of the burning
     software.

Name the CD/DVD medium as follows and keep it:

            Express5800/XXX
               (N8YYY-YYY)
            BIOSVERSION ZZZ
        System BIOS update module

Note: These XXX, YYY and ZZZ mean the model name, the product type of your
system and the system BIOS version respectively.

  2) Preparation for the Update

     1. Confirm that "Secure Boot" is set at "Disabled" (default).
