[ Software type ] BMC Firmware [ Creation method ] ZIP archived ================================================================================ [ Software introduction ] This BMC Firmware update module (hereinafter called "this software") supports the following functional enhancement in the NEC Express5800/B120d-h, B120d, B110d models: - Changed to reboot management LAN port if management LAN port does not receive any packet for a certain period of time. - Improved the issue that active directry user who belongs multiple group may be aborted to log in EXPRESSSCOPE Engine 3. - Improved the issue that DHCP configuration of the management LAN is changed from disable to enable when the Server Blade mounted on the Blade Enclosure. - Improve the character-based remote console via command line interface of EXPRESSSCOPE Engine 3 to be enabled to accept mass input for example to copy and paste long text. - Improved the issue that the network functinon of EXPRESSSCOPE Engine 3 become unavailable by receiving Jumbo Frame Packet from Management LAN port. - Improved the internal user configuration for EXPRESSSCOPE Engine 3 to be disabled to change. - Improved Web server function of EXPRESSSCOPE Engine 3 and changed the description of the online help. - Support for Windows Server 2012. (support for DCMI) - Support for Web console function on Java7. Notes: - To prevent a system failure, please read this document carefully and follow the procedure for successful update. Should your system malfunctions or is powered off due to an unplanned event during update (for example, power blackout or cutoff, lightening, and noise), the system may be damaged and fails to operate normally. In this case, any remedial measures shall be taken at your expense. - This software does not support to update the BMC firmware by Remote Media on EXPRESSSCOPE Engine 3. - Please set "Disable Remote Media USB Ports" of BIOS Setting to [Disabled] during update. [ Users whose system needs to be updated ] Models with BMC Firmware versions which fit the descriptions below will require BMC Firmware updating. - Models NEC Express5800/B120d-h NEC Express5800/B120d NEC Express5800/B110d - Software versions <BMC Firmware> BMC Firmware Revision: 00.11 BMC Firmware Revision: 00.10 Notes: If the software versions of the present system are newer than the above stated revisions, the system does not require software updating. Functions equivalent to those of these software updates will have already been applied. Be certain to confirm the software versions of your system. Version confirmation procedures: (1) Power on the system. (2) When the following message appears, press the F2 key to start the BIOS Setup Menu. "Press <F2> SETUP, <F4> ROM Utility, <F12> Network" (3) Using the arrow keys, move the cursor to [Server]. (4) Select the [System Management] sub menu and press the Enter key. (5) The software versions of your system will be displayed. (6) After confirmation of the software versions, press the ESC key and exit the [System Management] sub menu. (7) Move the cursor to [Save&Exit], using the arrow keys. (8) Select [Discard Changes and Exit], and exit the BIOS Setup Menu. (*) Refer to the User's Guide for details on BIOS Setup. Copying, altering, and combining of the licensed program (1) You are granted the permission to create on copy of the licensed program to use as a backup in case the program data becomes lost, damaged or destroyed. Once the licensed program is loaded into memory on a PC, a copy of the program may be stored only as backup incase the fixed memory of the PC becomes damaged or lost. (2) The copyrights and license agreement must be attached to all copies of the licensed program. (3) Unless otherwise specified in this user license agreement, you may not use, copy, alter the licensed program or combine it with another module. It may not reproduced in any publications or networks.
