If you update to Ver.6.22 or later of the NEC ESMPRO Manager after applying this update module, the following steps are required before update. - Restore the update module. - Update the NEC ESMPRO Manager. - Apply the update module again.   3. If you install the NEC ESMPRO Manager Ver.6.22 or later newly, you should apply this update module again. 1. Update Procedure 1) Login with Administrator Privileges. 2) Extract this update module (ESMSM_UPDATE_W.zip) into your local folder. The following folders and files are stored in the folder. ex) If you extract zip file into "c:\", files are stored as follows: c:\ESMSM_UPDATE_W\MwaBm.dll restore.vbs update.vbs 3) Open [Control Panel] and select [Administrative Tools] and open [Services]. Stop services in the following order. 1. DianaScope ModemAgent 2. ESMPRO/SM Web Container 3. ESMPRO/SM Event Manager 4. ESMPRO/SM Base AlertListener 5. ESMPRO/SM Common Component 6. Alert Manager Socket(R) Service (*) 7. ESMPRO/SM Base Service 8. Dmi Event Watcher (*) 9. ESM Alert Service 10. ESM Command Service 11. ESM Remote Map Service 12. NVBASE System Service 13. Alert Manager Main Service 14. Alert Manager HTTPS Service (*) 15. Alert Manager WMI Service 16. Alert Manager ALIVE(S) Service (*) * Depending on settings, the services marked with (*) may have been stopped. If the service has been stopped, "Start/Stop services" are not required. 4) Open "Command Prompt". If UAC (User Account Control) is enabled, open "Command Prompt" with Administrator Privileges. 5) Open "ESMSM_UPDATE_W" folder created in step 2). 6) In "ESMSM_UPDATE_W", execute script file. [Notice] It is necessary to execute script file at "ESMSM_UPDATE_W" folder. >cscript update.vbs If you execute script file, the following message is displayed on Command Prompt. "Update is started." If update has been completed successfully, the following message is displayed. "Update has been completed." 7) Open [Control Panel] and select [Administrative Tools] and open [Services]. Start services in the following order. 1. Alert Manager ALIVE(S) Service (*) 2. Alert Manager WMI Service 3. Alert Manager HTTPS Service (*) 4. Alert Manager Main Service 5. NVBASE System Service 6. ESM Remote Map Service 7. ESM Command Service 8. ESM Alert Service 9. Dmi Event Watcher (*) 10. ESMPRO/SM Base Service 11. Alert Manager Socket(R) Service(*) 12. ESMPRO/SM Common Component 13. ESMPRO/SM Base AlertListener 14. ESMPRO/SM Event Manager 15. ESMPRO/SM Web Container 16. DianaScope ModemAgent * If the service had been stopped in step3), there is no need to start them. 8) Confirm if "Size" of module file in Explorer is same as follows. [folder where updated module is applied] %ESMPRO%\ESMBASE\BIN\ (*) Size Name ----------------------------------------------------- 184,320 MwaBm.dll (*)%ESMPRO% means {NEC ESMPRO Manager install folder} Default install path for {NEC ESMPRO Manager install folder} is as follows. (32bitOS) (64bitOS) 2. Regarding the case when update fails If an error occurs when you apply update module, error message is displayed on command prompt. Deal with error depending on the error messages. [How to revert back to previous version of the program] (1) Execute step 3), 4), 5) in 1. Update Procedure. (2) Open the folder where you extracted update module. ex) If you extract zip file into "c:\", move to the following folder. cd c:\ESMSM_UPDATE_W (3) Execute the script file. >cscript restore.vbs [Notice] It is necessary to execute script file at "ESMSM_UPDATE_W" folder. Restore is started, then the following message is displayed on command prompt. "Restore is started." When restore has been completed, the following message is displayed. "Restore has been completed." Then module is reverted to before applying update module. (4) Execute step 7) in 1. Update Procedure.
