<Description>
    Starter Pack includes the customized drivers for Express5800 server, 
    applications, and instruction manuals. Please install Starter Pack before 
    using Express server.

    Starter Pack Version S8.10-007.02 : Supported the June, 2020 Firmware.

Read carefully the following agreement before downloading.
If you do not agree to the terms of the agreement, do not download this software.
By downloading the software, you are bound by the terms of the agreement. 

<User License Agreement>
NEC Corporation ("NEC") grants you the right to use the software 
program ("Software") under the terms and conditions of this Agreement
only in the country where you acquired the Software. You shall agree to all 
provisions of this Agreement and assume responsibility for selection, 
installation, use and effect of the Software purchased for your desired effect.

1. Period
    1.1 This Agreement shall come into force on the day of the first download.
    1.2 You may terminate the license granted hereunder by notifying us in writing
        at least one month prior to the desired termination date.
    1.3 NEC may terminate the license granted you hereunder at any time if you
        fail to comply with any terms and conditions of this Agreement. 
    1.4 The license to the Software shall remain in force until the license is
        terminated on the date set forth hereunder. 
    1.5 Upon termination of the license, other rights granted you hereunder shall
        also be terminated. You must destroy, uninstall or dispose of the Software,
        any copies of the Software and other materials provided with the Software. 

2. Right of use
    2.1 You may use the Software only on the purchased products, the products
        which NEC defines as the supported models for the Software.
    2.2 NEC grants you the right to use the Software only in the country in which
        you acquired the Software in accordance with the conditions of the
        preceding paragraph.

3. Intellectual Property Rights including patent and copyright
    All of the intellectual property rights to the Software including patent
    and copyright belong to NEC and/or the owners of the copyright or any 
    other intellectual property rights to the Software. No Intellectual 
    Property Rights including patent and copyright to the Software shall be 
    transferred to you. The Intellectual Property Rights can be protected as
    a matter of Japan, U.S.A., and any other applicable laws and regulations.

4. Copying, altering, and combining of the Software
    4.1 You may only make one copy of the Software solely for a backup purpose,
        provided, however, that the copy of the Software is loaded into permanent
        memory of the system (such as a hard disk drive). You may store the Software
        solely to prevent damages or loss of the memory media.
    4.2 You shall place the copyright notice and other legends on each copy of the
        Software.
    4.3 You may not use, copy, alter, combine, publish, reproduce the Software 
        over the Internet, or otherwise dispose of the Software except as provided
        in this Agreement. 
    4.4 You may not copy, publish the manual and other related documentation
        provided with the Software, or reproduce such manual and documentation 
        over the Internet.
    4.5 No intangible property right to the Software shall be transferred to you.

5. Transfer
    You may not sublicense, assign, transfer, or otherwise dispose of the Software
    or the right of use to any third party except as provided herein.

6. Reverse compile
    You may not reverse engineer, decompile, or otherwise disassemble the Software.

7. Limitation of warranties
    7.1 THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. NEC 
        DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES FOR THE SOFTWARE, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING
        BUT NOT LIMITED TO, WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR
        PURPOSE. FURTHER, NEC MAKES NO REPRESENTATION OR WARRANTY THAT THE USE OF ANY
        SOFTWARE WILL NOT INFRINGE ANY THIRD PARTY'S RIGHTS, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED
        TO, ANY INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS. IN NO EVENT SHALL NEC BE HELD LIABLE WITH
        RESPECT TO ANY CLAIM BY YOU OR ANY THIRD PARTY ON ACCOUNT OF OR ARISING OUT OF
        THE USE OF THE SOFTWARE.

    7.2 Notwithstanding the provisions of the preceding paragraph, in case NEC
        makes any bug-fix version to the Software, NEC will, at its expense,
        furnish you with such bug-fix version, update version, or information in
        relation to such bug-fix or update version both in the source code form and
        object code form, and such bug-fix version or update version shall be
        considered as the licensed Software.

8. No liability 
    IN NO EVENT SHALL NEC BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES OR
    LOSS OF PROFIT OR DAMAGES BASED ON ANY THIRD PARTY CLAIM, EVEN IF NEC HAS BEEN
    ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. 

9. Miscellaneous
    9.1 This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the country in which you
        acquired the Software.
    9.2 You agree that NEC inspects the use of the Software and provides the information
        of the inspection to the owner of the copyright to the Software.
    9.3 If the Software is licensed for use in the performance of a U.S. Government prime
        contract or subcontract, You agree that, consistent with FAR 12.211 and 12.212,
        commercial computer Software, computer Software documentation and technical data
        for commercial items are licensed under this Agreement.
    9.4 If the Software has a file written about software license (hereinafter referred
        to as "License File"), the terms of License File are applied to the 
        files specified in License File, regardless of the above-mentioned Agreement.

Checking the version of EXPRESSBUILDER
================================================================================
Check the current version of EXPRESSBUILDER, then update EXPRESSBUILDER using
E8.10-007.02 if necessary.

[Using a local console]
1. Run the System Utilities from POST by pressing F9.
2. Select [System Information] - [Firmware Information].
3. Check the current version of EXPRESSBUILDER.

[Using a remote console]
1. Refer to the iLO5 user's guide to use the iLO web interface.
2. Select [Firmware & OS Software] from the left-hand side menu, and select [Firmware].
3. Check the current version of EXPRESSBUILDER.

If the checked version is 3.46.4, the EXPRESSBUILDER is the latest version,
and there is no need for an update.
If the version is earlier than 3.46.4, update EXPRESSBUILDER using E8.10-007.03

Usage (Updating FW)
================================================================================
Follow the steps below to update the FW/SW included in this Software.

Important: Make sure that you update the firmware by referring to
            Using offline mode before installing Standard Program Package.
            If you do not follow this step, the server may fail to boot.
            If the server is unable to start, see Troubleshooting.

     - Preparing:
    1. Download the files into any local folder on a Windows environment.
    2. Run S8.10-007.02.bat to create an ISO file.
    3. Burn the created ISO file onto a DVD-R as an ISO image file.
    4. This Starter Pack cannot be installed if you have an [Admin Password] set, or 
        have [Require Host Authentication] enabled. Make sure that the following settings are disabled 
        before installing Starter Pack.
        a) System Utilities:
            [System Configuration] - [BIOS/Platform Configuration (RBSU)]
            - [Server Security] - [Set Admin Password]
        b) iLO web interface:
            [Security] - [Access setting] - [iLO] - [Require Host Authentication]
    5. Read the following cautions.

    8. Read the following supplements to install Windows with this Starter Pack and EXPRESSBUILDER E8.10-007.xx.

    - On Windows:
    1. See Using offline mode to update the firmware.
    2. Sign in to the Windows server using an account with Administrator privileges.
    3. Set the Starter Pack DVD into the server.
    4. If N8104-173/182/185 is installed to the server, run \packages\cp040875.exe on the DVD. 
        If N8104-177/183/187 is installed to the server, run \packages\cp039900.exe on the DVD. 
        If R120h-1M/R120h-1M (2nd-Gen)/R120h-2M/R120h-2M (2nd-Gen)/R110j-1 standard LAN adapter or 
        N8104-171/178/179 is installed to the server, run \packages\cp042633.exe on the DVD. 
        Although a message may appear indicating that the latest version has already been installed,
        proceed with the installation.
        After that, restart the server.       
    5. If N8103-189/190/191/192/193/194/195/196/197/201 is installed to the server,
        run \packages\cp041257.exe on the DVD. After that, restart the server.
    6. Refer to "Standard Program Package Installation" in the Installation Guide (Windows) to install Standard Program Package.
        If an error occurs, install Standard Program Package again.
    7. If RAID Report Service is already installed, uninstall it in advance.
    8. Install the bundle software from "Applications" on the Starter Pack menu (*).
        For details, refer to the Installation Guide (Windows).

        * You can install all software by using "Integrated Installation" when performing clean installation.


    - On other Operating Systems (VMware ESXi):
    1. See Using offline mode to update the firmware.
    2. Refer to the following websites to check for the latest VMware ESXi software.

    - Using offline mode:
    1. Make sure that the following setting is Hidden when Trusted Platform Module(TPM) is installed.
        [System Configuration] - [BIOS/Platform Configuration(RBSU)] - [Server Security] - [Trusted Platform Module Options] - [TPM Visibility]
    2. If SNMPv3 Alerts are enabled, log in to the iLO web interface and make a note of the settings. 
       They will be reset to their default settings if iLO firmware is updated from 1.10/1.15.
    3. Make sure that the following Secure Boot setting is Disable.
       [System Configuration] - [BIOS/Platform Configuration(RBSU)] - [Server Security] - [Secure Boot Settings] - [Attempt Secure Boot]
    4. Refer to "Steps to update firmware by Starter Pack DVD" to update the FW.
    5. If the iLO firmware was updated from 1.10/1.15 and SNMPv3 Alerts were enabled,
       log in to the iLO web interface and reconfigure the settings using the notes from Step 2.
    6. If the iLO firmware was updated from 1.20 or earlier by this procedure,
       the SMTP Secure Connection (SSL/TLS) of AlertMail settings in the iLO web interface is set to
       be enabled by default.
       If iLO AlertMail was enabled before updating the iLO firmware, reconfigure the AlertMail settings in 
       accordance with your environment.
    7. Restore the TPM settings of Step 1 and the Secure Boot setting of Step 3 if necessary.


- Troubleshooting
    Follow the steps below when the server is unable to start because of wrong firmware updating.
    
    1. Make sure that the server is turned off (AC on/DC off).
    2. Search for the System ROM (2.04 or later) of the server from the following website.

    3. Update the System ROM of the server by following the steps in "iLO Web User Interface" on the download page.
    4. Install this Starter Pack by following the steps on this page.
