1.Monitoring
of "Storage Spaces"
When
you are using [Storage Spaces] that is supported by Windows Server 2012 or later and the
capacity consumption of the virtual disk is larger than the capacity consumption
of the physical disks in the storage pool, you will be able to detect that the
disk capacity consumption is insufficient by monitoring the following Event Log.
- [Source] Microsoft-Windows-StorageSpaces-Driver
- [Event ID] 103
- [Message] The capacity consumption of the storage pool %1 has exceeded the
threshold limit set on the pool. Return Code: %2
- Start [NEC ESMPRO Agent] from [Control Panel].
- Click the [Report Setting] button in the [NEC ESMPRO Agent Ver.4.6
Properties] window.
- Expand the "EventLog" tree on the left side of the [Alert Manager] window.
- Right-click on [Microsoft-Windows-StorageSpaces-Driver/Operational],
select [Select Monitor Event].
- Select [Microsoft-Windows-StorageSpaces-Driver] on [Source].
- Select [103] from the [Event ID List] and click the [Add] button, ID is
added to the [Monitor Event].
- Click the [OK] button, the [Select Monitor Event] window is closed.
- Verify that the source and the event ID that you added are displayed under
the "EventLog" tree.
- Right-click the event ID, select [Link Destination].
- Select destinations from the "Destination ID List" and click the [Add]
button. Destinations are added to the "Report To" list.
- Click the [OK] button, the [Link Destination] window is closed.
When
the insufficient capacity consumption has been resolved, the following event is
registered.
If there is a need for a report, please perform the above
procedure by replacing the event ID with [104].
- [Source] Microsoft-Windows-StorageSpaces-Driver
- [Event ID] 104
- [Message] The capacity consumption of the storage pool %1 is now below the
threshold limit set on the pool. Return Code: %2
2.Monitoring
of "NIC Teaming"
When
you are using [NIC Teaming] that is supported by Windows Server 2012 or later,
you will be able to detect that the team member NIC is disconnected by monitoring
the following Event Log.
- [Source] Microsoft-Windows-MsLbfoSysEvtProvider
- [Event ID] 16949
- [Message] Member Nic %2 Disconnected.
- Start [NEC ESMPRO Agent] from [Control Panel].
- Click the [Report Setting] button in the [NEC ESMPRO Agent Ver.4.6
Properties] window.
- Expand the "EventLog" tree on the left side of the [Alert Manager] window.
- Right-click on [System], select [Select Monitor Event].
- Select [Microsoft-Windows-MsLbfoSysEvtProvider] on [Source].
- Select [16949] from the [Event ID List] and click the [Add] button, ID is
added to the [Monitor Event].
- Click the [OK] button, the [Select Monitor Event] window is closed.
- Verify that the source and the event ID that you added are displayed under
the "EventLog" tree.
- Right-click the event ID, select [Link Destination].
- Select destinations from the "Destination ID List" and click the [Add]
button. Destinations are added to the "Report To" list.
- Click the [OK] button, the [Link Destination] window is closed.
When
the NIC is reconnected, the following event is registered.
If there is a need
for a report, please perform the above procedure by replacing the event ID with
[16950].

- [Event ID] 16950
- [Message] Member Nic %2 Connected.
In
addition, the test report of the event which is set to be monitored (Source:
Microsoft-Windows-MsLbfoSysEvtProvider) in the above procedure cannot be
performed.
